Common questions
How do I find a sermon or make a folder?
Use the search field on the home screen to look up a title, Scripture reference, or phrase. Tap New folder to organize documents under a name of your choice. A custom folder with documents appears on updated devices when those documents sync.
How do I change the appearance?
Open Account & sync, then choose System, Light, or Dark under Appearance.
How do I import existing Pages sermons?
Use Import in preach, or select documents in Files and choose Share → preach. The Share extension can accept up to 50 documents at a time. Choose a folder, add the documents, and open preach to finish importing. Modern Pages text documents, Word, RTF, text-based PDF, and plain text are supported. Files must be under 20 MB each. Password-protected Pages files, older Pages formats, and some layout-only documents may not import. Exact page design and images are not retained.
Why are my phone notes missing from my iPad?
Use the same Apple Account for iCloud on both devices. Open preach on both and check Account & sync. Use Sync now if needed. Sync runs while preach is open; offline edits wait until you reconnect. Open the same sermon on each device to see its thoughts.
Where did my full document list go?
The three recent documents stay visible. Tap All documents to expand or collapse the full list, or choose a folder. The list is ordered by last opened, with the most recent first.
How do I read the Bible while writing?
Open the Scripture tab beside your sermon, enter a book and chapter, and choose Read passage. The online reader uses YouVersion. ESV is the starting version; the version menu opens other versions and languages. Internet is required for this reader.
How do I paste a verse without its sharing URL?
Use Paste Scripture above the keyboard or in the Scripture panel. Supported Bible pastes remove the sharing URL and keep the reference before the quotation in the same bold paragraph. Regular paste recognizes common English Bible references and Bible passage links.
Can I use preach offline?
You can write, save, and present documents locally without a connection. iCloud syncing and the online Bible reader need internet access.
What happens if both devices edit a sermon?
Thoughts from both devices are merged. If the sermon text changed differently on both, an alternate version is preserved under Saved versions in Account & sync. You can save that version as a separate document.
